Hello Everyone! 
As August is winding down, we have completed several things. One big thing is the completion of mClass testing.  Everyone has been tested in Reading Levels and in Fluency. This is a beginning of the year dipstick type test that helps us set realistic goals for the end of the year. 
We have also become accustomed to the procedures and expections of 2nd grade. Everyone has a role in managing the classroom needs and all of us are working on the 7 Habits as we go about our day.
We have a few upcoming dates I want to remind you of: 
Sept. 1 -  Ident A Kid day
Sept. 5 - Labor Day Holiday
Sept. 6 - Fall Picture Day
Sept. 9 - Early Release at 1:15
Sept. 12 - 16 - Book Fair "Pirate Festival Week"  Arrrgh!
Sept. 15 - Fall Festival 6:00 - 8:00
Sept. 30 - Early Release at 1:15
Sept. 30 - Report Cards go home (Track Out Day!)
