2nd Graders are adjusting to new procedures, gaining confidence and learning to make good choices.  As we settle in, please make sure your child is getting enough sleep and has a quiet place to complete his/her homework.  The first few weeks of a new grade level are unusually tiring and everyone may need a little extra sleep (including me)!

Open House is this Thursday evening at 6:00 pm.  We hope you'll be able to attend and find out a few more details about life in 2nd grade.

Early Release is this Friday, Aug. 19th. It is also our first Club Day. Students will take time to review the club options and pick their top 3 choices.

Our first Letterland assessment went home today. If your child did not do well, don't worry. They are learning what it takes to study for the test on Friday and how to maximize their time in stations. They can easily recover. If a student continues to struggle, we will discuss a modified word list on an individual basis.

Remember to sign the Monday Folder showing you have reviewed that weeks work; only one signature per week is needed.

Have a great week and hope to see you Thursday night!
