Guten Tag!
We begin everyday with a greeting from another language or culture. This one is German and means
"Good Day". The students and I are equally glad to have completed the BOY mClass testing to determine phonics knowledge, fluency and reading level. We all cheered after the last test! Now Guided Reading Groups have begun.
I want to alert you about field trips this year. There will be three and all will take place at school. It's much cheaper for them to come to us! The dates and prices are as follows:
Sept. 18 - $7.50
Nov. 20 - $8.00
March 21 - $8.00
Total - $23.50 for the year
You may pay one at a time or the whole sum at the beginning. There is a link I will provide so you can pay online. That will come in the next post later tonight or tomorrow when I locate the directions.
We are asking questions to improve comprehension, looking at fact families and creating word problems to match different types of equations, and splitting words into syllables in Letterland. Ask your child what he has learned so far! Don't forget to read, read, read and practice math facts to 20.
