As I mentioned earlier, we will have field trips at school this year. We are excited that the scientists with "Science Fun for Everyone" will be visiting our 2nd grade classes three times over the course of this year. During their visits with us, they will support three of our Science Units: Solids & Liquids, Air & Weather, and Sound. We are scheduled to have a field-trip in Quarters 1, 2, and 3.
The cost of the first field-trip is $7.50 and the other two visits are $8.00 each. The total cost for all three is $23.50. Lake Myra’s policy states that if we don't have enough money to cover the cost of the visiting scientists before the field trip, then it has to be cancelled. We hope that this will not be the case, so we are urging all of our families who are able to consider donating a little extra to cover others who may not be able to.
You can either pay for the total cost of all 3 field trips ($23.50) or pay as we have the individual visits ($7.50 for the first one - "Solids vs. Liquids", and $8.00 each for the last two). Whichever way you choose, please send in your payment before Sept. 18th. If writing a check, make it payable to LMES.
